Alexandra Shapiro Speaks at Public Corruption Symposium at Pace Law School
On March 9, 2018, Alexandra Shapiro spoke at the “Prosecution After McDonnell and Beyond,” symposium at Pace Law School. Speakers at the symposium included leading prosecutors, defense attorneys, and academics as well as a U.S. District Judge, who discussed some of the issues raised by McDonnell and how it is expected to impact the prosecution of public corruption cases. Ms. Shapiro represented former New York State Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos in his successful appeal in the Second Circuit, and appeared on a panel addressing the scope of McDonnell and how it has affected prosecutors’ ability to police public corruption.
