Bloomberg BNA Publishes Profile on Partner Alexandra Shapiro Highlighting Argument Before Supreme Court
On October 4, 2015, Bloomberg BNA published a profile of partner Alexandra Shapiro on the eve of her first argument before the Supreme Court in Salman v. United States, the first insider trading case the Court has heard in 20 years. The article explains that her “securities law work has played a pivotal role in narrowing the scope of insider trading prosecution, starting with the overturning of a computer company executive’s conviction more than a decade ago” and her win in the landmark Second Circuit case of United States v. Newman. The article also discusses Alexandra’s groundbreaking work on electoral reform, including efforts to open the presidential debates to independent and third-party candidates.
